Foresee’s consultants have applied their decades of knowledge and experience to provide project management insight for more than a hundred clients throughout more than a dozen industries. With our clients’ best interests in mind, we have performed every capital project management consulting service imaginable—from evaluating their current business practices to developing requirements for new project management solutions to recommending improvements to their existing systems.
A Cost Management Solution for an Engineering and Construction Company
One of the world’s top-ranked engineering and construction firms needed help managing a $10 billion program to combat global poverty. Because the program is funded by U.S. government grants, the company needed a solution to control costs and ensure compliance with stipulations. Foresee worked with an on-site project controls team to help setup and kick-start an Oracle Primavera Unifier deployment. After implementing their first business processes, we then trained system administrators to finish configuring the system themselves.
A Canadian Oil Sands Refinery
Part of a multibillion-dollar, four-phase megaproject in Alberta, Canada, this bitumen refinery was the first major ground-up refining project to be built in North America in over 25 years. Starting with a blank slate, Foresee helped its sponsors engineer and implement hundreds of processes and procedures to manage and control the project. We then designed and deployed an instance of Oracle Primavera Unifier to enforce compliance and to afford the client real-time visibility into the project’s operations.
A Capital Project Portfolio Management (CPPM) Solution for a Global Manufacturer
On discovering site-led projects at more than 330 facilities worldwide were costing ten percent more than the industry norm, this manufacturer needed to make significant changes to the way they executed projects. They bought Unifier to consolidate and automate their CPPM processes and hired Foresee to implement the system and to further improve their processes, ultimately reducing the annual amount spent managing their portfolio by more than $100 million.
A Commercial Real-Estate Management and Investment Company
Another consultant put their own data-reporting modifiers into Unifier, leading to issues with customization and integration. Soon after, this New York-based real-estate management firm hired Foresee to reconfigure and redeploy Unifier for its development and construction groups. We took a challenged Unifier implementation and turned it into one that better fit the client’s needs, allowing them to better manage costs and various projects across different sites and different regions.
A Project Lifecycle Management System for an Energy and Utilities Company
Though this mid-Atlantic utility company already had multiple Oracle solutions in place, none interfaced with the other, Unifier had yet to be configured, and both Primavera P6 and Analytics had not been deployed to their full potential. A limited, custom .NET application was used to manage projects. Excel spreadsheets and Access databases filled the gaps. They contracted Foresee to establish an integrated project lifecycle management system, which featured Unifier and P6 as its core.
Capital Projects and Facility Management for a Top-Tier University
When Foresee first reviewed the university’s business processes, like many of our clients, their facilities management department was tracking its capital projects using a combination of disparate, outdated systems and inefficient manual processes. Our team developed business requirements for the institution so they could solicit bids for an enterprise-level project management information system. After helping them select a system, we then supervised its design, configuration, and deployment, giving them a much-needed single source of truth to manage their facilities and capital construction projects.
Our president and CEO, Mark Bodner, standing in a Las Vegas resort he helped build, talks about what sets Foresee apart—our ability to relate to our clients, to speak their language, to channel our experiences as construction and project management professionals to improve their processes and better their businesses.
